Emily Jane Yeadon is a British artist based in Scotland whose work explores memory, nostalgia and the quiet wonder of the natural world. Inspired by childhood stories and the British countryside, her work invites you to pause, look a little closer and rediscover the small moments of magic that often disappear as we grow older.

Working primarily with hand sewn textiles, wool, thread and mixed media, her sculptures explore the fragile space between childhood imagination and adult remembrance. Each piece is an invitation to revisit the stories we once told ourselves, the tiny worlds hidden beneath floorboards, amongst tangled hedgerows or beyond the bend of an old Holloway. They are gentle reminders of a slower way of seeing, when ordinary places held extraordinary possibilities.

Raised in the rural north of England, Emily's childhood was spent exploring fields, woodlands and winding country lanes, where a lifelong fascination with wildlife and storytelling quietly took root. Today, those memories continue to shape her practice. Every sculpture is made slowly by hand, combining traditional textile techniques with contemporary soft sculpture to create characters and creatures that feel both familiar and strangely remembered.
