Toady is the leader of the knot. He’s a grumpy old toad and would rather be left alone. He stays hidden under the garden shed, but now and then you may catch a glimpse of him as he ventures out to the nearby pond. He’s pretty fond of lounging around amongst the cool moss and watching the dragonflies prance over the waters edge.
Toady is entirely made from fabric. He has been carefully stitched together and painted by hand. He has been heavily filled with synthetic toy stuffing which gives him a firm and weighty structure. He is covered is gruesome warts and finished with a dappled coating of textured gloss which gives his skin a slimy but leathery appearance. His wise old eyes are glassy and they are positioned within painted fabric eyelids.
